Dozer work is carried out utilizing 1 Caterpillar D6R dozer and 2 D7R dozers. The three dozers are low hour machines and are regularly maintained by our employed mechanic.

These medium sized dozers are ideal for the Pilbara and Midwest environments and provide clients with a reliable and extremely cost effective machine. The medium sized machine also minimizes the footprint while still providing enough horsepower to tackle the pads and gridlines on rocky outcrops and Mesa’s.

The scrub rake has the benefits of clearing the scrub with minimal disturbance to the topsoil and prevents the formation of windrows that lead to further erosion. You may notice from the photos that the Muir Machinery scrub rakes have a modified blade on the bottom to cut off stumps and roots at the surface to prevent the staking of tyres. A lot of the Pilbara and Midwest plant species are natural re-sprouters after disturbance so the use of the scrub rake allows fast regeneration of gridlines and drill pads. It follows on that the rehabilitation costs are therefore minimised due to prevention of windrow formation due to the operation of the scrub rake. The operator can easily detach the scrub rake in a few minutes if the blade is required to cut pad levels to provide a safe working platform for drill rigs.

All our machines are easily transported on our low loaders, we have our own pilot vehicles and drivers should any load be oversize. The low loaders are only used for our transportation needs thus availability is very good and transport costs are kept to a minimum. General freight such as sample bags are also moved from/to and across the Pilbara
